Speakers: Prof. dr. Robert Danon (University of Lausanne): ”Fundamental issues in international tax law and their ramifications on public international law”
Robert Danon is a Professor of International Tax Law at the University of Lausanne where he, inter alia, heads its Tax Policy Center. He also serves as the chairman of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and is a founding partner of Danon, an independent tax firm specialised in cross-border tax disputes.

Dr. Cornel Marian (Alstom/Bombardier): ”The State’s power to tax as materialised in recent investment arbitration awards”
Cornel Marian is a senior legal counsel at Alstom/Bombardier Transportation Sweden AB. He is also the Swedish delegate to the ILA Committee on International Tax Law, a guest lecturer at Stockholm University and the author of The State’s Power to Tax in the Investment Arbitration of Energy Disputes (Wolters Kluwer, 2020).
