Membership in ILA

Membership in the ILA is open to anyone interested in international law. The ILA currently has more than 5,000 members worldwide, distributed across over 60 national branches. If you are active or live in Sweden, you should apply for membership in the Swedish ILA. Welcome!

As a member, you can participate in the Swedish ILA’s events and receive news about the association’s activities. As a member, you can also participate in the ILA’s international activities and contribute to the organization’s important work. The ILA plays a crucial role in the development of international law and currently has around twenty active committees, as well as around ten working groups, which study, clarify and develop specific parts of international law. The Swedish ILA nominates candidates for the ILA’s international committees and working groups. It is prestigious and meritorious to be appointed to contribute to the ILA’s work, and as a member of a committee or working group, you get a network of colleagues around the world. As a member you also get access to the locked member pages on the ILA international website, as well as a discount on conference fees.
