The Swedish ILA is the association for those interested in international law. Our members include practicing lawyers and jurists, academics, diplomats and representatives from ministries, the legal and judicial system and international organizations – all with a shared interest in international law, including public international law, arbitration and dispute resolution, private international law and procedural law and comparative law, etc.

Since 1922, the Swedish ILA has worked to promote the development of international law. As part of the worldwide organization International Law Association, headquartered in London, we operate in a global context where practice and academia meet to strengthen international legal cooperation. For more than a century, we have contributed to the organization’s active role in developing international law and promoting international understanding.
